1. Basic Policy

2. Personal Information Acquired by Us
We acquire your name, address, telephone number, email address, payment information, mailing address, and other personal information at the time of registration, participation in an auction, use of web services and auction systems, and inquiries and applications of every kind.

3. Purposes of Use
We use your personal information for the following purposes in order to operate auction business properly and smoothly, and do not use the personal information beyond the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use without your prior consent:

(2) Implementation of an auction

(3) Evaluation of works of art

(4) Execution of entrusted business

(5) Distribution and transmission of our direct mail, catalogues, etc. by email or mail

(6) Response to your comments and inquiries

(7) Development of services and/or improvement of problems based on your trend and transaction history regarding auction items handled by us

(8) Improvement of the convenience of web services (We use technical information when you access the website.)

(9) Provision to financial institutions (third parties) (We provide our bank with personal information after obtaining your consent for the purpose of investigation as measures for money-laundering and terrorism financing.)

4. Delivery Information of a Third Party Provided by You
We may be provided by you with the personal information of a third party other than you (including a name, address and telephone number; the “Delivery Information”) as an address for delivery of an item. When we are provided with the Delivery Information of a third party by you, we will use such Delivery Information only for the delivery of an item. When we are provided with the Delivery Information of a third party by you, we deem that consent for our use of the Delivery Information within the extent of such purpose of use has been obtained from such third party; therefore, you must obtain the third party’s consent before you provide us with the Delivery Information of such third party. The registration, change, or deletion of the Delivery Information of the third party registered by you is left to you, and in general, we do not change or delete such Delivery Information.

5. Supervision of an Entrusted Entity
We may entrust part of the handling business of personal information to an entrusted entity to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In this case, we will select an entrusted entity who meets the standard set forth by us, conclude a contract with the entrusted entity regarding the appropriate handling of the personal information provided by us and exercise necessary and proper supervision over the entrusted entity.

6. Use of Cookies
We use cookies to authenticate you, verify your login status and improve your convenience on our website. In addition, for the purpose of improving your usability of the website, we may record your access logs such as an IP address, access date and time, linking website, file you accessed, and browser you are using, on the website. 8. Security Control Measures
We take organizational, physical, and technical security control measures properly for the security control of personal information, including preventing unauthorized access to personal information, and the leakage, loss, and damage of personal information. We also take human security control measures properly, including educating and enlightening officers and employees who handle personal information for the protection of personal information. 9. Request for Disclosure, etc.
We respond to a request for the notification of purposes of use, disclosure of personal information or the record of provision to a third party, correction, addition or deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of provision to a third party (the “Request for Disclosure, etc.”) regarding your personal information retained by us as set forth below.

(1) Notification of Purposes of Use, or Disclosure of Personal Information or the Record of Provision to a Third Party
You can make a request to us for the notification of the purposes of use, or for the disclosure of personal information or the record of provision to a third party to the extent permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information in accordance with the procedures set forth in (4) below; provided, however, that we may not make a disclosure in any of the following cases:

(a) when such disclosure is likely to harm the life, body, property or other rights and interests of the person himself/herself or a third party;

(b) when such disclosure is likely to materially impede appropriate implementation of our business;

(c) when such disclosure is in violation of laws and regulations; or

(d) when we cannot confirm that the Request for Disclosure, etc. has been made by the person himself/herself.

(2) Correction, Addition or Deletion
You can make a request for the correction, addition or deletion of personal information in accordance with the procedures set forth in (4) below. In this case, we will conduct investigation without delay to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use and based on the results, correct, add or delete such personal information to the extent permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

(3) Suspension of Use or Suspension of Provision to a Third Party
You can make a request for the suspension of use or suspension of provision to a third party of personal information in accordance with the procedures set forth in (4) below. In this case, we will respond properly in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

(4) Procedures
For the Request for Disclosure, etc., please fill out the request form prescribed by us and submit it to us together with the identification document (the copy of driver’s license, passport, My Number Card (recto), or any other document approved by us) of the person himself/herself. If your agent makes a request, such agent needs to submit a power of attorney from the person himself/herself in addition to the identification document of the agent as stated above.
There is no fee payable by you to us for the Request for Disclosure, etc. However, you will bear fees for communication from you to us, transportation fees or other necessary expenses arising in connection with the preparation of the identification document stated above.
