This work was born from the idea of layering numerals from 0 to 9, forms that require no designing in themselves. As the numbers appear to emerge and recede one after another, the work captivates the viewer with an inexhaustible array of visual delights: the interplay of curves and straight lines, and the subtle gradations of tone that arise where forms overlap.
