In the original painting produced in 1962, what appears to be a ruler-like implement used to draw circles is attached directly to the work, and this element is carried over into the print, where areas of white appear at both edges of the composition. These areas where color is absent allow the viewer to imagine the thin, board-like form moving like a compass, making it possible to envision movement extending beyond the boundaries of the work, to imagine the movement of the work itself.
