The original painting created in 1962 still bears the ruler-like object presumably used to draw circles, which was incorporated into the print as well, leaving white gaps at both edges of the image. These areas of missing color allow viewers to imagine the thin, flat object moving like a compass, enabling them to envision movement extending beyond the work itself or inherent within the work.
