DESCRIPTION

Chicago-based artist Laura Berger (b. 1979) evokes a sense of introspection through her work. Having started painting as a form of therapy, she explores personal experiences and memories through her art. Using dreamlike abstract landscapes and human and natural symbolism, she focuses on self-exploration and social connection, questioning the female body and identity. Her works depict silence, peace, and inner human strength, inducing deep emotions in viewers.

This work embodies the artist's signature minimalist and tranquil style. With a soft colour palette, the simple contours of the human body and its curved forms harmonise with nature, symbolizing quiet introspection and inner flexibility. Reflecting her pursuit of self-expression and social relationships, the delicately placed space and balance of this work invite the viewer to a sense of calm and soothing serenity.
