This work is a part of the “Birds in Existence” series, and was created in 2006, distinguishing it as an early work from within the series. The total number of works in the series has now reached over 300, and in describing the concept behind the series and the reason for the recurring motif of birds, Nakamura has stated that “existence must fly, and only that which can fly is existence”.
